Strong QB Plays
Jeff Garcia @DET: Garcia has been steady all year but look for him to have a bigger game than usual as he goes to his old team Detroit where he wasted a year of his career.
Drew Brees vs. ATL: Brees and the Saints showed some signs of last week in Seattle. The Falcons Defense is dreadful and Brees will benefit with a back to back good games.
Chad Pennington @CIN: Basically whoever is playing the Bengals start them. Even though Pennington has been awful lately he should be in for a few TD passes to Coles and Cotchery.
Weak QB Plays
Jay Cutler vs. PIT: The Steelers have only allowed 3 TD’s through the air this year and rank 2nd in Pass Defense. Cutler has been an interception machine this year, so avoid him and look for a better play.
Strong RB Plays
Clinton Portis vs. ARI: Portis is primed for a big game this week at home against Arizona who ranks 16th in rush D.
Thomas Jones vs. CIN: Jones looks to be finally healthy after a big game in Week 6. Once again play any and all who a playing the Bengals.
Shaun Alexander vs. STL: Similar to Larry Johnson last week, this is the week another first round who bust finally breaks out. This is it for Alexander, if he can’t get back on track against the winless Rams, you may want to consider sitting Alexander on a week by week basis.
Weak RB Plays
Cedric Benson @PHI: It is now time to classify Benson as a bust in both a fantasy player and an NFL player. It should be noted for the second straight week that the Bears have to regret trading Thomas Jones.
Ahman Green vs. TEN: Green had a horrible 16 carry/44 yard game last week against Jacksonville. The Titans rank #1 in Run D, so look for another play for your RB slot.
Strong WR Plays
Laveranues Coles vs. CIN: Coles is another must start Jet player playing against Cincy. Expect big things from the second faster player to ever play at Florida State.
Jerricho Cotchery vs. CIN: See above for Coles
Joey Galloway @DET: Even though he needs a new end zone celebration, the old man still gets it done. If you got Joey look forward to the gun show in Detroit.
Wes Welker @MIA: Welker is officially a must start every week now. Welker should match up favorably in the slot against the Dolphins Linebackers and Secondary.
Nate Burleson vs. SEA: Burleson has been a regular on the strong plays this year when the match up is right. After scoring last week, look for him to have another solid week.
Weak WR Plays
Ronald Curry vs. KC: Culpepper just doesn’t seem to look like his former self like he was in Minnesota. The Chiefs rank 7th in Pass Defense and Curry is too inconsistent.
Darrell Jackson @NYG: The bubble has busted for all you Jackson fans who thought he was primed for a big sleeper year. Jackson has 16 catches and 0 TD’s this season.
Hines Ward @DEN: Avoid Ward this week just coming back from a knee injury. Champ Bailey and Dre Bly are the best CB duo in the league and should keep Ward in check.
