QB Strong Plays
Vince Young @NO: Young has a good match up on Monday Night against the Saints Defense that has given up 8 TD’s in their first two games. Young should deliver with both his arm and legs, start him this week.
Matt Hasselbeck vs. CIN: This is a great match up for Hasselbeck at home against the Bengals. We all know what Derek Anderson and the Browns Offense did to that defense last week so expect Hasselbeck to put up some good fantasy numbers.
Jason Campbell vs. NYG: Campbell looks like a strong play this week just by the fact he is facing a terrible Giants Defense. They have been carved up through the air the first two weeks and Campbell should have around 250 yards with a few TD’s.
Jake Delhomme @ATL: Steve Smith and Delhomme have been on fire this year. They look to be back to their ’05 form after a disappointing season last year. Delhomme should have a couple TD’s in this divisional match up.
Weak QB Plays
Matt Leinart @BAL: Leinart will struggle on the road against a tough Ravens secondary and pass rush. He hasn’t lived up to the high expectations so far this year, don’t expect him to turn it around this week.
Matt Schaub vs. IND: The new Texans QB has looked impressive so far but going up against the Colts Defense without stud receiver Andre Johnson looks to be tough. Avoid Schaub until Johnson returns.
Alex Smith @PIT: Smith has not looked good with 0 TD’s and 252 yards passing in his first two games. Smith will be in for a long day in Pittsburgh, look elsewhere on for your QB this week.
J.P. Losman @NE: The Patriots Defense has been shutting down offenses this year. Losman has not looked good and has had trouble hooking up with Lee Evans so far this year. Avoid Losman this week as he will continue to struggle.
Strong RB Plays
Cedric Benson vs. DAL: Benson looked good last week topping 100 yards rushing on 24 carries. The Cowboys don’t have the best run defense, and the Bears will look to pound the ball often to minimize Grossman’s mistakes.
Clinton Portis vs. NYG: The Giants can’t stop anybody this year and Portis has scored in his first two games this season. Portis should have a TD and a100 yards rushing
Adrian Peterson @KC: The Chiefs Defense is average at best. The talented rookie will post good yards rushing and receiving and should be good for a score.
Lamont Jordan @CLE: Coming off a career best 159 yards rushing on 25 carries, Jordan is a must start at home against the Browns. Jordan looks to be having the season everyone thought he was going to have last year.
Weak RB Plays
Edgerrin James @BAL: James will struggle as the Cardinals O-Line won’t be able to open up any holes the stingy Ravens Defense.
Marshawn Lynch @NE: If L.T. and the Chargers can’t do much in New England, don’t expect much out of the rookie and the Bills.
Julius Jones @CHI: Jones wont be put up much against the Bears, and the fact Barber gets the TD’s, sit Jones this week.
DeShawn Wynn vs. SD: Yes the rookie looked good last week but let’s remember he was playing the Giants. He is a good pickup on the waiver wire, but he is not a solid play this week against the Chargers.
Strong WR Plays
Santana Moss vs. NYG: Moss could have a monster day against the Giants secondary that can’t stop anyone. Moss has the speed to burn their secondary if Campbell can get him the ball downfield.
Joey Galloway vs. STL: Galloway looks to have a nice connection with Jeff Garcia after scoring 2 TD’s last week. Look for Joey to flex the guns in the end zone for a second straight week aganist a banged up Rams secondary.
Laveranues Coles vs. MIA: Coles was quiet last week at Baltimore, but will get back on track at home against the Dolphins. Coles has a good history against Miami and is a must start.
Chris Chambers @NYJ: Chambers is the only weapon on a bad Miami Offense. In his last game in New York he had 5 catches for 60 yards and a score.
Deion Branch vs. CIN: After the Bengals game last week you could make an argument to start the Seahawks #5 receiver. Branch had a big game last week after putting up a goose egg in week 1. Branch will get plenty of looks in what should be a high scoring game.
Nate Burleson vs. CIN: See above for Branch.
Ronald Curry vs. CLE: Curry should be good for 100 yards and a score against a defense that gave up 6 TD’s through the air last week.
Jerry Porter vs. CLE: See above for Curry.
Bernard Berrian vs. DAL: Dallas’ pass rush has been awful with only 3 sacks through two games this season. Grossman will have time to find his #1 option as Berrian will get plenty of looks his way to have a solid game.
Wes Welker vs. BUF: Welker has become one of Brady's favorite targets early on playing the slot position. As teams will double on Moss and focus on the running game, Welker should get plenty of looks at home against a banged up Bills secondary.
Weak WR Plays
Lee Evans @NE: Evans has gotten off to a brutal start this season and is facing a New England Defense that will shut him down for another week. Avoid Evans if you have other options.
Darrell Jackson @PIT: With Alex Smith struggling and playing at Pittsburgh, Jackson is not a good choice this week.
Any Jacksonville WR @DEN: The Broncos have one of the best pass defenses in the league giving up only 1 TD with 4 INT's and 170 yards passing through the first two games. Add to that the Jaguars Offense has not done anything this year with 23 combined points in their first two games with only 2 TD's.
