According to Chiefs Head Coach Herman Edwards, Larry Johnson will not be carrying the full load until he is ready after his 25 day holdout. Edwards was quoted on Tuesday saying, "Larry is going to be on a little bit of a leash early," and noted later, "He has to get his legs underneath him. Michael's healthy, which is good. We feel very comfortable with the runners we have now. It's not all on L.J., which is good."
This does not affect Johnson’s status as he should never be out of your starting lineup, but you should check the waiver wire and pick Bennett up if he is available. He could be a nice option early on in the season as a 3rd or 4th running back.
