Week 13 Injuries for Week 14

Week 13 Injuries for Week 14

Doubtful / Out:

Steve McNair QB Ravens - Out Shoulder – He is going to under go season ending rotor cuff surgery this week.

Roy Williams WR Lions – Out Knee – They first reported a knee sprain. With further testing it shows a PCL injury witch will keep him out of the rest of the season.

Derrick Ward RB Giants – Out Lower Leg – In the middle of the forth quarter he broke his left Fibula. It is unclear at this moment if he will be able to return this season.

Questionable:

Larry Fitzgerald WR Cardinals – Questionable Groin – Even though he is listed as questionable on the injury report. The coach feels strongly that Fitz will play week 14.

Marshawn Lynch RB Bills – Questionable Ankle – This is the forth week he has been on this report as questionable. Coach Jauron is hopeful this week that he will play. Check back Sunday to make any adjustments.

Selvin Young RB Broncos – Questionable Arm – Last week it was his knee, this week it is his arm. Look to see this man play week 14.

Matt Schaub QB Texans - Questionable Shoulder – This brave soul was hit and hit a lot on Sunday. It does not look like he has been scratched for week 14 yet. It does not look good for his return this week.

Damon Huard QB Chiefs – Questionable Elbow – On his seventh sack of the game he was hit on the elbow. With Brodie Coyle and Huard out, Mr. Thigpin came in to play. Look to start another QB this week if you have one.

Jessie Chatman RB Dolphins – Questionable Ankle – Looks like he re hurt his right ankle sprain. This team has seen it all. I would stay away from this team if you can.

Marc Buldger QB Rams – Questionable Concussion – This Ram is going to have special tests done (neurosych exam) to see if he will be cleared for Sundays game.

Brian Leonard WR Rams – Questionable Ankle – He should play week 14 in a limited capacity.

Jeff Garcia QB Buccaneers – Questionable Back – ESPN reported that he has a hairline fracture. Both the coach and Garcia denied that report. He should play this week.

Probable:

Plaxico Burress WR Giants - Probable Ankle – He is a little banged up with an ankle and knee injury. He is a gamer he will play week 14.

Shawn Alexander RB Seahawks - Probable Wrist – With his first game back from a short injury break, he injuries his wrist. After his taste of the game he will play week 14. Look for Morris to help from time to time.

B.J. Askew RB Buccaneers – Probable Ankle – His ankle is still bothering him. He did not run the ball week 13 but did catch a few passes.

Lendale White RB Titans – Probable Finger – He dislocated his finger in the end of the 3rd quarter. Look for Brown to steal some carries week 14. Lendale will still play.

Santana Moss WR Redskins – Probable heel – His heel has been bothering him for a few weeks now. With that being said he caught 5 passes for 63 yards.

Clinton Portis RB Redskins – Probable Back – His back is what slowed him down to only 50 yards last week. This week he should pick up the pace a bit going into week 14 against the Bears.

Week 14 Strong Plays and Weak Plays

Strong QB Plays

Marc Bulger @CIN: Bulger has been cleared to practice (concussion) and is expected to start this week against the Bengals. Bulger should pick up right were he left off and is in for a big game against an awful Bengals Defense.

David Garrard vs. CAR: Garrard is proving himself as a serious fantasy QB the past few weeks. In his last three games he has totaled 742 yards passing and 5 TD’s. Garrard is a strong play this week at home against the Panthers.

Weak QB Plays

Eli Manning @PHI: Eli once again proved last week that he is not an every week fantasy starter. You should only consider Eli if your only other QB is Joey Harrington.

Strong RB Plays

Ryan Grant vs. OAK: The guy has been on a tear since taking over as the starter in week 8. Grant will have another solid day at home against a bad Oakland Run D.

Kolby Smith @DEN: Larry Johnson is expected to miss another game (foot) this week on the road against the Broncos. If you managed to pick Smith up on the waiver wire a few weeks ago, keep riding him as he will get most of the touches again this week.

Weak RB Plays

Laurence Maroney vs. PIT: The Patriots do not use Maroney enough for him to be started. The worst part about Maroney is even when they are inside the 5 yard line, they give the goal line TD’s to fullback Heath Evans. Sit Maroney on your bench and deal with the fact that the he is one of the biggest fantasy busts this season.

Strong WR Plays

Isaac Bruce @CIN: Father Time has been very consistent over the past 5 weeks and is a must start this week against the Bengals. Bruce has scored in 3 of the past 4 games.

Joey Galloway @HOU: Another ageless wonder continues to amaze with his blazing speed. Whether Garcia or Luke McCown starts this week at QB against the Texans, Galloway is a strong play.

Santonio Holmes @NE: Holmes practiced on Wed. and is expected to play this week against the Pats. The Steelers desperately need Holmes this week to have a chance to knock off the undefeated Patriots.

Roddy White vs. NO: White has torn it up the past two weeks and has a great match up this week at home against the Saints on Monday Night. White is a solid play this week as a #3 WR.

Weak WR Plays

Chris Henry vs. STL: After starting out on fire his first two games after returning from his 8 game suspension, Henry has disappointed of late. Henry is only worthy of starting in deep leagues as a #3 or 4 WR.

Week 14 Consistency Rankings

Consistency Rankings -- Week 14

The consistency rankings are another metric we use to gauge the performance of fantasy players; they are also an extremely helpful tool in making lineup decisions -- for example, when choosing between two players at the same position with similar match-ups, the player with the higher consistency rank is almost always the smart way to go.

We believe that the consistency rankings are one of the best tools to judge fantasy performance, because they look not only at the total fantasy points a player has scored, but at the distribution of those points, by week. Steady players, who consistently score higher than the position "baseline", or worst starter, are rewarded, while volatile players, who post elite numbers one week and sub-par numbers the next week, are penalized. Unlike year to date aggregate fantasy points, or per game average fantasy points, the consistency rankings are not overly skewed by one or two monster games.
……………………………………………………………………………………………….....................

The rankings are based on WCOFF rules and setup.

12 teams per league

Starters:

1 QB
2 RB
3 WR
1 TE
1 FLEX (RB, WR, TE)
1 K
1 D

4 pts. per passing TD
1 pt. for 20 yds. passing

1 pt. per reception
1 pt. per 10 yds. rushing / receiving

QB Consistency (thru week 13)

RB Consistency (thru week 13)

WR Consistency (thru week 13)

TE Consistency (thru week 13)

Week 14 Offensive Projections -- By Team

This tool details the fantasy matchups that are advantageous in week 14. While most projections are subjective by nature, these are strictly objective calculations, dependent on each team's average offensive statistics and their opponent's average defensive statistics.

This week, in addition to our, normal weekly projections, we've also included Week 14 projections based on what's transpired offensively and defensively over the last 4 weeks. The short term trends around Fantasy Play-off time are just as important as the longer term trends.

The tables show each team, the respective opponent this week, and a calculation of their expected production in the following offensive categories:

Completions
Passing Attempts
Passing Yards
Passing TDs
Interceptions
Rushing Attempts
Rushing Yards
Rushing TDs

Good matchups are shaded green

Bad matchups are shaded red

Post-Week 14 Injury Report

Week 14 Injuries for Week 15
Doubtful / Out:
Rex Grossman QB Bears - Out Knee – His knee is bad, but not bad enough for surgery just yet. Grossman left the game early Thursday with a sprained MCL on his left knee.

Questionable:
Anquan Boldin WR Cardinals – Questionable Toe/Hip – Last week Fitz was questionable. This week Anquandimonium is questionable. Bolden has been declared as inactive week 15 due to other players coming of injury. He can now get better.
Matt Schaub QB Texans - Questionable Shoulder – It looks like Matt is going for a second opinion tomorrow on his shoulder.
Justin Fargas RB Raiders – Questionable Ribs – Fargas left the game in the forth quarter with bruised ribs after having an average game this last Sunday.
L.J. Smith TE Eagles – Questionable Knee/Ribs – This rough and tough tight end had MRI’s done on his knee and one on his cartilage tear on his ribs. .
Marc Buldger QB Rams – Questionable Concussion – His concussion is still aling him. As it continues to bother him he will be considered uestionable.
Ike Hillard WR Buccaneers – Questionable Back – Gruden has stated that he will not know the status of hillard until after Wednesday. He is being worked and checked by doctors and trainers.

Probable:
Jeff Garcia QB Buccaneers –Probable Back – After a disappointing lose to the Texans, it looks like Garcia will step back in at home with his bruised back. Look to start him this week.
Kurt Warner QB Cardinals - Probable Elbow/Knee/Ribs – This guys is so banged up that his trainers will have to work on him for several hours everyday. With everything bothering him he still manages to make it in the game.
Marshawn Lynch RB Bills – Probable Ankle – Even with Lynch showing improvement, Coach Jauron has stated that he will only get a little more this week. It looks like the Coach is leaning towards running with a committee. It seams that with Lynches injury he is loosing grip of the sole starting job. Sharing carries will hurt his fantasy value.
Lavernous Coles WR Jets - Probable Ankle – It was reported that Coles has a high ankle sprain. It was also reported that he was in sever pain at the podium after the game.
Philip Rivers QB Chargers – Probable Knee – His knee is still bothering him. He will be limited in practice this week. It looks like he is going to have it looked at again this week.
